The Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus is a large-format, high-speed FDM printer for makers who need more build space without accepting slow production times. Its 320 × 320 × 385 mm build volume gives you room for large dioramas, wearable cosplay parts, substantial functional prototypes, or multiple smaller models in a single job. Powered by a 64-bit, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and pre-installed Klipper firmware, it supports print speeds of up to 500 mm/s and acceleration of up to 12,000 mm/s² on appropriately tuned profiles.
Its lightweight dual-gear direct-drive extruder uses a 5.2:1 reduction ratio to support steady filament feeding. The extended hot end combines a titanium-alloy throat pipe, 60 W ceramic heating element, brass heating block, and 300 °C nozzle, supporting PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, and suitable nylon filaments. An auxiliary cooling module with powerful blower fans helps cool layers quickly, improving bridges and overhangs at higher print speeds.
For improved print quality, accelerometers on the X and Y axes automatically calibrate resonance-compensation settings, helping reduce vibration-related ringing and ghosting. The Neptune 4 Plus also includes 121-point auto bed levelling and Wi-Fi, LAN, and USB file-transfer options for flexible printer management.
Typical Applications
Large-Scale Cosplay: Print helmets, armour sections, and props with less model splitting and assembly.
Functional Prototyping: Produce larger housings, brackets, and structural components using suitable engineering filaments.
Batch Production: Use the 320 mm build plate to print multiple smaller parts in a single job and improve workshop throughput.
Key Features and Benefits
Massive Build Volume – A 320 × 320 × 385 mm print area accommodates projects beyond the limits of standard 220 mm printers.
Klipper-Powered Speed – Pre-installed Klipper firmware supports speeds of up to 500 mm/s and acceleration of up to 12,000 mm/s².
300 °C Direct-Drive Extrusion – The dual-gear, 5.2:1 direct-drive extruder supports reliable feeding across materials from flexible TPU to suitable nylon filaments.
Automatic Resonance Calibration – X- and Y-axis accelerometers calibrate resonance compensation to help reduce vibration artefacts at higher speeds.
121-Point Auto Bed Levelling – An 11 × 11 calibration mesh helps establish a consistent first layer across the large PEI build surface.
Flexible Connectivity – Transfer files via Wi-Fi, LAN/WLAN, or USB, with web-based remote-control and multi-printer management options.
Please Note:
For ABS and ASA, Elegoo recommends using an enclosure. Ensure the print area is well ventilated when printing these or other higher-temperature materials.
